As a working mother and novelist, I understand the challenges of sustaining a creative practice in the midst of a busy, multi-faceted life. I am here to offer guidance and support to writers, particularly those who identify as BBIPOC, immigrants, mothers, and caretakers. My current support offerings are listed below and include coaching, partial manuscript review, and insights into your creative life using Tarot.

For all offerings, there will be a short intake form at the time you book. It will take about 5 minutes to complete. All calls will be held over Zoom.

One Coaching Session

Let’s talk about your writing practice. On this call, we’ll explore where you are right now with your project, your goals, and how to get you closer to them. We’ll discuss ways to weave writing into your life, no matter where you are with your practice.

Three Session Bundle

Let’s make a plan. During our sessions, we’ll tackle a creative block, set a specific writing goal, or address an element of craft. I will provide exercises, readings, and/or email check-ins. All sessions will take place within 3 months from the first.

Six Session Bundle

Let’s dive deeper. We’ll structure your practice, iron out your goals, and center your artistic growth. You can use one session for a Tarot Insight reading or to discuss up to 20 pages of your draft. All sessions will take place within 6 months from the first.

Tarot Insights

Let’s tap into your creativity with the help of Tarot. Using a card spread, we can check in on your protagonist’s journey, plot points, story development, or address any creative blocks. You will leave with new insight and exercises to help move your writing forward.

Need another pair of eyes on your work? I’ll review up to 30 pages (double-spaced, 12pt, no line edits), which includes a 30-minute call to discuss your excerpt and a 2-page feedback letter. Have your pages ready to submit when you book your session.

  • If you feel stuck with your writing, consider coaching. Whether you want a single session for a quick boost or more sustained support is up to you. If you want insight and creative ways to approach a specific aspect of your story (characters, plot, conflict), consider a Tarot Insights session. If you have a lot of pages and could use a fresh perspective, consider the manuscript excerpt review.

  • This will depend on your goals/needs and the service you book. For example, a single coaching session may focus on your writing practice, while a series of sessions can address your practice, an element of craft, and/or writing goals. Support may also come in the form of writing prompts, book recommendations, email check-ins, or word count goals.

  • No, but you will have the option to submit a one-page sample (double-spaced, 12 pt) when you book a service so I can get a sense of your writing. This is optional, especially if you want to focus more on your writing practice.

  • Yes, if you contact me within 30 days from the date of your first session, it can count as the first of a 3 or 6 session bundle.

  • Because we need to keep up the momentum. We can have weekly, biweekly, or monthly sessions with these bundles, but going more than a month between sessions might hinder the progress we make.

  • Not at the moment, but depending on how my time commitments play out over the next several months, I may offer 9 or 12 session containers or change up my offerings altogether. You are welcome to book another 6 session bundle once our first is finished, but we should discuss if you need anything beyond that.

  • You can cancel or reschedule an appointment up to 24 hours ahead of time. If you cancel with less than 24 hours or do not show up to your appointment, no one is mad, and you don’t need to apologize; life happens. But you will forfeit the session.

  • For a single coaching or Tarot Insights session, you can cancel and request a refund up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

    For a coaching bundle, you can cancel and request a refund up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Note that the discounted rate goes away if you cancel. This means that each session used will be charged at the single-session rate. Discounts from a lower bundle will not be applied to a higher bundle in the calculation of the refundable amount due.

    I do not offer refunds for the Manuscript Excerpt Review or for any services rendered. I reserve the right to not work with you, in which case I will issue a full or partial refund, at my discretion.
